It’s my daughter’s 7th birthday today and we’re having a picnic with her friends.

If I wasn’t half-asleep when we ‘discussed’ this, I’m almost sure I wouldn’t have agreed to this.

Well, this discussion was more of a “… but Mummy please please please please”, with nudges and all.

And me going “Fine! Whatever darling. Now let Mummy have some rest” – in between yawns.

Smart little one that girl and she’s always so full of life. - well that’s expected cuz I always make sure I include milk in her breakfast everyday as this is the most important meal of the day.

“Mummy, we’re gonna be late”

I watched as my daughter skedaddled down the stairs.

“I’m almost done honey!”

Well not really. I’m still here fumbling over the thought of the perfect snack to make.

Then it pops in my head – Hot milk cake! Perfect. Sounds yum!
